About The Bike Shed

The Bike Shed is a family owned and run business, with a focus on quality and value. All of our bike technicians have been Cytech trained to level 2. Cytech is an Industry standard for all bike technicians. We also have certificates from DT Swiss, a world renowned wheel maker. The certificates are for wheel building which are also at level 2, exceeding the British Standard by miles!

So you can be sure, that when we work on your bike, it is in good hands!

We try to service / repair your bike the same day that it arrives in our workshop, but occasionally, jobs require specialist parts, for eg:- forks or hydraulic brake callipers and dependant on what we need, some parts can take up to 3-4 days and sometimes longer, but, if we can source them from another supplier quicker, then that's what we will do!.

We are members of The Association of Cycle Traders, Sefton Chamber of commerce and the Federation of Small Businesses.

The Bike Shed is pleased to announce that from February 2010 we will be an authorised agent for Norco Bikes in the Liverpool area.

We are sponsoring a charity bike ride this year and it will be starting right here in Bootle and ending in Mons in Belgium. Mons is the European town that is twinned with Bootle. The ride is in aid of 4 cancer charities. The ride will take place in stages over 5 consecutive days and will cover approximately 500 miles! There are 2 riders at present who will be riding their own bikes from start to finish.
